Dr. Craig Angus was a well respected member of the Roaring Fork community for 40 years. As a Clinical Psychologist in private practice, Aspen Psychological Services, he devoted most of his time to the numerous families he aided during those years. Outside of work, Craig’s greatest passion was aviation, especially gliding and soaring. He regularly volunteered in local flight school programs where he instilled his passion in the youth that were lucky to have been mentored by him. Craig planned to devote a lot more of his time to students of aviation upon retirement. Unfortunately he passed away suddenly at age 70 in 2022. Our mission is to carry out Craig’s passion and goal by raising funds for low-to-moderate income youth. The costs associated with aviation can be costly and through the fundraising, we wish to give the opportunity to youth to be involved in an aviation program and/or flight school. The opportunity to participate in an aviation program/flight school not only stimulates ones mind but could transcend into future paths by serving in the military or potentially a career in aviation. In order to reach those who would benefit from this program, flyers and literacy about the program will be distributed to the schools in our community. –more–
